So, if you have a contract then you should really check the terms and conditions of service before proceeding to use the app, so you can avoid getting into any hot water with your provider.Īll in all though, PdaNet offers a simple and reliable way of connecting your computer to the internet using your phone's connection. I should point out that tethering your phone's connection in the way that PdaNet permits is frowned upon by many network operators. When I started to play GTA IV, I thought Niko Bellic voice was very similar to Cesar Vialpando's, but then I realized their voices are different I don't know the serbian language, so I don't know if Michael was good in that part, but at least when Niko talks in English, I like his voice, I can't imagine Niko with another one. Michael Hollick, a not very famous actor voiced Grand Theft Auto protagonist Niko Bellic. Despite his inexperience, he did a great job too. Carl "CJ" Johnson, protagonist of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, was voiced by Young Maylay, a new rapper. I think he did a fantastic job, he is a great actor and his voice fitted Tommy perfectly. Ray Liotta, actor, did the voice acting of Thomas "Tommy" Vercetti, protagonist of Grand Theft Auto Vice City. It isn't bad either, but it's not in the level as the others voice actings. I don't think the voice acting of Johnny is very good. Unfortunately I'm not having much time to play it I have a little complain to do, and I want your oppinion.

Apathetic towards the tournament's considerable prize money, Kazuya engages his father in a vicious, bloody battle in which Kazuya emerges victorious. When the first King of Iron Fist Tournament was announced, the 26 year old Kazuya took the opportunity to get back at his father. In one of these fights Paul Phoenix fought him to a draw. However, Kazuya is defeated almost immediately and gets thrown off a cliff by his father, who claims that his son is weak and would have to survive and climb back up if he was to be his true son as well as his successor. At five years of age, Kazuya Mishima finds out his mother died at the hands of his father and attempts to get revenge against him. And, if you saw these episodes as a young child? You probably spent some time sleeping with all the lights on. But there are those episodes that, no matter how dated the effects have become or how quickly you're able to guess (or remember) the twist ending, are still going to get under your skin. Shot on handheld video, 'X-Cops' is a perfect blend of The X-Files and Cops. Thankfully, given how far both TV and special effects have come, The X-Files is by-and-large considered a nostalgic artifact-pretty harmless and fun to re-watch, especially when you make a game of pointing out all the now-famous guest stars. With the 25th anniversary of the premiere of The X-Files upon us, Alyse Wax has ranked the shows 25 best episodes. From boneless, contortionist serial killers who could fit themselves through air conditioning vents or tub drains to incestuous, backwoods murder families, there's a good chance that if you grew up during The X-Files heyday, you saw some things that really, really messed you up.īut hey, sometimes being scared out of your mind as a child can be fun, too, right? Maybe its the intrinsic horror of watching people who don’t want to die commit suicide in horrendous ways, or maybe its the palpable tension in the episode’s startling last scene, but Modell is our #1 X-Files monster for his even-minded sadism and downright creativity. The '90s were a wild time for TV, and the things shows like The X-Files were able to get away with under the guise of spooky sci-fi fun are pretty legendary. Just a man with a life-threatening tumor, Robert Patrick Modell always crawled the furtherest underneath my skin. But what makes the Peacock family’s role so memorable (other than their mangled faces) is their fervent loyalty to each other at any cost. Startling audiences in the mid-’90s with the story of a fully incestual family that hasn’t left their home in decades, the episode remains gruesome and captivating even several watches later. One of only three monsters to re-occur (alongside Donnie Pfaster and Robert Modell), Tooms has the ability to stretch and contort himself in unnatural ways, feeding on victims’ livers every 30 years to sustain himself.Īctor: Chris Nelson Norris, John Trottier and Adrian Hughes Maybe Tooms just stands out because he was the first monster in X-Files’ monster-of-week format, breaking from plot lines of stolen sisters and government conspiracy. Top 12 X-Files Standalone Episodes From Bryan Cranston driving fast to one hell of a creepy family, we look back at some very memorable episodes. Beyond being an all-around creepfest as he channels different souls from beyond the grave, he is the first monster that compels Scully to believe, remaining ambiguous about whether he has true physic talents or was orchestrating the murders with his ex-partner.Įpisode: “Squeeze” (1.02), “Tooms” (1.20) While not the murderer the FBI is after, Luther Lee Boggs-a psychic inmate on death row who Mulder put away years before-is helping the pair find two kidnapped college students. While it appears he’s just another run-of-the-mill serial killer with a Scully obsession, his re-appearance in the seventh season reveals him to be a demon, albeit a demon with a bit of OCD and a death fetish. With the ability to regenerate any body part through a strict regimen of bathing in povidone-iodine and consuming cancerous tumors, Betts comes for Scully with the eerie and foreshadowing statement, “I’m sorry, but you’ve got something I need.”Įpisode: “Irresistible” (2.13), “Orison” (7.07) Few monsters of the week further the bigger X-Files storyline, but Leonard Betts is the first indication the viewer has toward Scully’s impending cancer.
Yes, participants will be asked to install the software and complete the RISA-3D Tutorial prior to attending the course. Do I need to do anything before the session? The RISA-3D Regional Training Course is a hands on, in-person learn by doing class aimed at helping new and experienced users succeed using RISA-3D. global modes, mass participation, blast loading, seismic and equipment vibration time history.įrequently Asked Questions What kind of course is this? Subtopics include stiffness modeling concepts, mode shapes and frequencies, local vs. Major topics include Eigensolution, Response Spectrum Analysis, and Time History. Overviews general concepts of dynamic analysis with specific training in RISA-3D to perform a variety of dynamic analysis. Part of this course is devoted to the modeling and results interpretation of finite plate elements, as well as wood and masonry walls. Rigid diaphragms and automated wind/seismic load generation are also covered. This course moves beyond the basics of structural modeling (Course 1) into advanced topics such as P-Delta analysis, thermal and moving loads, and tension-only members. Day 2 - Advanced Structural Modeling (8am - 5pm) Special attention is paid to loading, materials, shapes and code checks on all of the RISA-3D materials and results interpretation. A variety of modeling approaches are covered such as spreadsheets, graphical tools, and automated structure generation. We start at the basics for beginners and progress our way up to complex structure creation and manipulation. Each day of RISA training provides a Certificate of Completion for 8 Professional Development Hours (PDH), which is equivalent to 2.4 CEUs.Ĭourse Description/Schedule Day 1 - Basics of Structural Modeling (8am - 5pm) Many states require continuing education for renewal of your PE license. These features can be mastered by working through examples that highlight their usefulness – and that’s exactly what our training classes do. Even though RISA software has a friendly interface, there are many features that can help you work even more productively. Our training focuses on using RISA software tools to effectively and quickly build models and produce useful results. Among the many benefits of mastering this skill is that it allows you to solve analysis and design problems quickly and accurately. Learning structural modeling is best taught using examples of real-world problems while being guided by someone who has solved similar problems. This is a learned skill that in many cases is not being taught elsewhere. RISA training is provided by the RISA staff of Professional Engineers and focuses on teaching structural modeling. Registering for one of our regional courses allow users to do the following: Resolve Problems & Learn Best Practices By working through real world examples, we highlight some of RISA-3D's most helpful features that save time and increase productivity. I've used the plate functions in RISA to do FEA of glass handrails and cantilevered concrete stairs, its very easy to set those up though I've never tried them in STAAD.Our small group training sessions focus on using RISA-3D to effectively build models that produce useful results. I have not used either for modal analysis or pushover analysis, we use Etabs for that usually. I think it was better for modeling the joint offsets and handling the enormous size of the model. We had to use Staad for that project, it was a client mandated thing. Later in my career, we got a contract to design some conveyor belts that, unlike buildings, were more like huge pieces of machinery. It sounds like a lot of work but all those steps go very quick using a combination of the graphic input and the table/spreadsheets. At first that seemed like an unnecessary step. Then you have to define load cases, then input the loads, then define load combinations. In order to analyze a simple span beam in RISA, you have to draw the member and input the size, boundary conditions, etc. Then I started using RISA because it was what my new company used and I totally stopped using STAAD. Out of college i was very quick with the text input version of Staad, their graphic input module was pretty new at the time. Both programs can work well for both types of analysis but RISA definitely feels much simpler to me. If I need to build a very complicated model, I would use Staad. I will also use it for a complicated structure as well. I'll even use it on a simple span beam that has non-uniform loading, especially if I want to check deflection. Its pretty quick to build and view all the inputs to make sure they look as you'd like them to. I like RISA better for a quick check on a multi-span beam.
